Mounting to a Pole
The Adjustable Mount (Figure 53) is pre-configured for pole mounting (Figure 55). The
pole must be at least 5 cm (2 in) in diameter. Install as follows:
1. Acquire metal strapping and cincher (and optional plastic tie wraps) long enough to
wrap around the selected pole.
2. Prepare the installation site with a pole that is strong, sturdy, and securely embedded
in a solid foundation.
3. Make sure the pole clamp is securely screwed into the Adjustable Mount back plate.
4. Position the pole clamp with the open end pressed against a vertical length of the pole.
5. If you have tie wraps, thread them through the pole clamp slots and around the pole,
then tighten. This step is optional, but allows you to position the Adjustable Mount
before tightening it more or less permanently.
6. Maneuver the Adjustable Mount until it is exactly where it should be on the pole.
7. Thread metal strapping through the pole clamp slots and around the pole; cinch down.
8. Cut off the plastic tie wraps that are no longer necessary.
