Reset Settings

The Settings tab's Reset Settings item allows Editors to restore to factory defaults all changes
that were previously made to the sensor's configuration file, as follows:
1. Select the Settings tab's Reset Settings item to open the M8 Settings Reset page (Figure 31).
2. A confirmation message immediately appears in the Settings tab: "Sensor settings
will be reset to factory defaults. Continue?" (Figure 31 left).
NOTE: As of M8 sensor Rev D5 and up, restoring factory settings
means that the IP address will receive its original static IP
assignment of 192.168.1.3.

3. If you select the Reset button, the settings are uploaded, and a Reboot confirmation
page appears (Figure 31 right). (Settings are only applied if the sensor is rebooted.)
4. If you wish to reboot and apply the settings, then click the Reboot button. The sensor
reboots and the browser redirects to the M8 Sensor home page (Figure 27). Because
the sensor may take 40 seconds to reboot, the home page may not be useable until
the sensor is back online.
