Opening the Web Server

To access the Sensor Settings Management web server application:
1. Make sure the sensor's Ethernet sub-cable is plugged securely into the network port
of the computer.
2. Know the sensor's IP address (page 31), and note it here ______________________.
• If you don't know the sensor's IP address, refer to the "Reset a Static IP Address"
section starting on page 59.
• If your computer (such as Windows 7) does not supply DHCP service, make sure
the sensor is configured with a static IP address. Refer to the "Reset a Static IP
Address" section starting on page 59.
3. If you need to access this Sensor Settings Management application through the
Ethernet port of a computer that does not have Ubuntu installed, then you must:
• Access the computer's network settings window, such as shown in Figure 24.
