ADJUST PEDAL LINKAGE

WARNING
This section is one section of a complete service
manual. Before starting any procedure, read all
warnings and instructions that are located in the
Service Guidelines chapter.
1: Loosen the push rod jam nuts.
2: Remove the cotter pin from the push rod pivot
joint and discard.
3: Adjust the position of the push rod pivot joint so
that the pedal link mounting hole is approximately
0.5" (12 mm) above the center line of the
bellcrank pivot shaft.
4: Reinstall the pivot joint using a new cotter pin and
tighten the jam nuts.
5: Loosen the jam nut on the pedal link.
6: Remove the link bolt from the brake pedal.
7: Adjust the pedal link so that the pedal link
mounting hole is approximately 0.5" (12 mm)
above the center line of the pedal pivot shaft.
8: Reinstall the link bolt using a new lock nut.
9: Tighten the pedal link jam nut.

ADJUST PARKING BRAKE

WARNING

warnings and instructions that are located in the
Service Guidelines chapter.
The parking brake is not to be adjusted at the park brake
handle. If the handle on the vehicle is adjustable, it should
be set for maximum travel.
The parking brake linkage is adjusted at the rear of the
vehicle behind the transaxle.

HYDRAULIC PUMP

The hydraulic pump is also part of the steering system.
Refer to the Steering Service Section for information.
HARDWARE TORQUE
If hardware is not listed here, refer to standard torque
values in the appendix.
