Retrieving Remote Punch Records
Employee punch records are stored in the remote TimeTrax Time Recorders
(up to 4,000) until automatically downloaded to the Host PC using the Modem
Polling Server according to the schedule created by the user. Downloaded
records are then stored in the Host Computer polling database until accessed by
the TimeTrax Software database (also located on the Host Computer) every time
a user logs into the TimeTrax Software. The TimeTrax Software can retrieve
punch data from the polling database as follows:
• Click on RETRIEVE PUNCH DATA on the main menu bar.
• Click one of the three menu options to retrieve punch records
1. BOTH LOCAL AND REMOTE
2. JUST LOCAL
3. JUST REMOTE
• When all punch records have been retrieved, a message will be displayed
which tells how many records were added to the database.
• Click the EXIT button to return to the Main Form.
or:
• Click the DOWNLOAD PUNCHES button on the initial TimeTrax Time
Recorder Connection Form that appears when you first start the TimeTrax
program.
Checking the Status of the Server in the Dial Log

1) Right click on the Pyramid icon in the System Tray at the bottom right of the
screen. Select VIEW DIAL LOG.
2) Click on MODEM POLLING on the menu bar and select OPEN CONTROL
PANEL from the pull-down menu. Click on FILE on the menu bar and select
SHOW DIAL LOG from the pull-down menu.
3) Click on the GROUPS tab in the Control Panel. Click on the SHOW DIAL
LOG button at the bottom of the form.
