When the InstallShield Wizard completes, you will have 3 icons on your
Desktop:
• TIMETRAX Network Agent – communicates with the client machines.
• TIMETRAX – Time and attendance program.
• SQL Server Network Utility – sets the network communication
parameters.
Recommendation:
To avoid possible conflict with other MSDE programs installed on server com-
puter. We recommend that after installing TIMETRAX SQL onto your server
computer, please go to the Disc Drive and right click on the drive. Click on the
EXPLORE option, then locate folder named support and double click. Click on
the MSDE INSTALLER ZIP FILE. Select all the files and extract files on to your
desktop. On your desktop there should be a folder named "MSDE Install".
Double click. Click on MSDE SETUP and let it run.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT OPEN/RUN TIMETRAX ICON OR THE
NETWORK AGENT ICON UNTIL THE SQL SERVER NETWORK
UTILITY SETUP IS COMPLETE!
Step 2: Open/Run the SQL Server Network Utility: Highlight "Named Pipes"
and "TCP/IP" in the Disabled protocols box and select ENABLE to
move the 2 network protocols to the Enabled protocols box.
Click OK to continue.
