Universal Serial Bus (USB) Ports
There are four USB ports located on the I/O backpanel. USB ports 2/3 support USB 2.0
connections. The other two USB ports located next to USB ports 2/3 can support both USB
2.0 or USB 3.0 connections. When used for USB 2.0 support, these two ports are labelled
as USB 4/5 (USB 2.0). When used for USB 3.0 connections, these ports are labelled as
USB 8/9 (USB 3.0). In addition, an onboard header, located next to the Intel PCH chip, also
supports USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 connections. When this header is used for USB 2.0 support, it
is labelled as USB 0/1 (USB 2.0). When used for 3.0 support, this header is labelled as USB
6/7 (USB 3.0) (Cables are not included.)
IPMI-Dedicated LAN Port
An IPMI-dedicated LAN, supported by the ASpeed AST2400 Baseboard Controller (BMC), is
located above USB ports 4/5. Connect a RJ45 cable here for IPMI LAN support.
Video Connection
A Video (VGA) port is located next to COM Port 1 on the I/O back panel.
Serial/COM Ports
The motherboard offers two serial/COM connections. COM1 is located on the I/O backpanel,
and COM2 header is located next to the Aspeed AST2400 BMC chip on the motherboard.
