Controller to Drive Configuration
The drives are accessed by means of two SAS3008 controllers connected through three
expanders, which connect to the drives. By default, each controller manages 45 drives.
Furthermore, each controller manages alternating physical drives, that is, odd numbered
or even numbered drives as labeled in Figure 3-5. This design helps balance performance.
This zoning configuration is accomplished by factory installed firmware on the expanders.
