Advanced Power Management Configuration

Power Technology
Select Energy Efficient to support power-saving mode. Select Custom to customize system
power settings. Select Disable to disable power-saving settings. The options are Disable,
Energy Efficient, and Custom.
Energy Performance Tuning
Select Enable for energy-performance tuning support to enhance energy efficiency, which
might compromise system performance. The options are Enable and Disable.
Energy Performance BIAS Setting
Use this feature to select an appropriate power setting and performance level for the
system. Select Performance to maximize system performance by using maximum amount
of power. Select Balanced Performance to downgrade system performance a notch by
using less power. Select Power to maximize power saving, which may greatly compromise
system performance as a result. Select Balanced Power to downgrade power saving a
notch and allow the system to use more power to boost system performance. The options
are Performance, Balanced Performance, Balanced Power, and Power.
Energy Efficiency Turbo
Select Enable for the system to operate at turbo mode with reduced power consumption
so that your machine can achieve maximum system performance with the maximum power
efficiency possible. The options are Enable and Disable.
*If the option is set to Custom, the following items will display:
 CPU P State Control (Available when Power Technology is set to
Custom)
EIST (P-states)
EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology) allows the system to automatically adjust
processor voltage and core frequency to reduce power consumption and heat dissipation.
The options are Disable and Enable.
Turbo Mode
Select Enable to use the Turbo Mode to boost system performance. The options are Enable
and Disable.
P-state Coordination
This item is used to change the P-state (Power-Performance State) coordination type.
P-state is also known as "SpeedStep" for Intel processors. Select HW_ALL to change
