Removing a Hard Drive Carrier from the Storage Compartment
1. Open the storage compartment cover.
2. Slide the release button on the drive carrier, which opens the carrier handle.
3. Use the handle to pull the drive carrier up and out.
Caution: Except for short periods of time, such as while swapping hard drives, do not operate
the server with the drive carriers removed from the bays. Even empty carriers help promote
airflow.
