Power
Blue (solid): Power to the CPM-a is on
Unlit: There is no power to the CPM-a or the power is faulty.
Status
Green (slow blink): The CPM-a is loading firmware and running CPU
diagnostics.
Green (solid): The CPM-a boot/load process is complete and is
operational as the primary CPM-a.
Green (slow blink): The CPM-a boot/load process is complete and is
operational as the secondary CPM-a.
Unlit: The CPM-a is operationally down and administratively down.
Set the switch to DTE when connecting to the serial port of a PC with a
null modem cable. When the switch is set to DTE, the Console port acts
as a data terminal equipment (DTE) serial port.
Set the switch to DCE when connecting to the serial port of a PC with a
straight-through cable. When the switch is set to DCE, the Console port
is acting as a data communications equipment (DCE) serial port.
Port
The Console port uses an RJ-45 connector that enables a connection to a
terminal for performing router monitoring and configuration operations.
