Manipulate
Manipulate action
The "Manipulate" action allows machine data to be accessed, essentially independently of
data storage in the control system.
The data to be manipulated can be stored in the archive (e.g. NC data, drive data) as well as
in the HMI (display data).
Note
Selected data areas define target areas
Which target areas are displayed depends on the data areas (archive, PCU, NCU/PPU) that
were activated for use.
The data areas are defined in the project folder in the Package tab (Page 106).
If a data area is subsequently deactivated, then all of the target area nodes that cannot be
hidden due to content are shown in red.
Note
Display of the target area
● Gray - target area does not contain any data.
● Red - data inserted in the target area is not permissible.
● Blue - linked data with resolution for deployment.
● Purple - linked data with resolution during runtime.
Data manipulation operations are supported in the following "target areas":
● NC data
● SINAMICS data
● Display data
● All
All cross-area data can be read and written in the target range of theManipulate action. More
information is provided in the Section Data accesses (Page 244).
Additional information on the possibilities associated with manipulation tasks is provided in the
description of the script language (Page 240).
A "Task" must be generated using the context menu in order to be able to enter manipulation
operations. The operations can be sub-divided into several tasks in order to improve the
structure. The task names can be freely selected.
