    �HONDA � MBX50· MBX.80 LUBRICATION TRANSMISSION Oil OIL LEVEL CHECK Before checking the oil level run the engine and ·allow to idle for a few minutes. Support the motorcylce upright on level ground. Stop the engine and remove the oil level check bolt from the right crankcase cover.

    HONDA � MBX50· MBXSO LUBRICATION Oil STRAINER CLEANING (1) OIL PUMP Disconnect the oil tube at the oil pump and allow the oil to drain into a clean container. (2) OIL TUBE Remove the right side cover. Loosen the tube clip and disconnect the oil tube (1) OIL STRAINER-ml joint under the oil tank.

(3) FUEL STRIANER CUP Wash the strainer cup and filter screen in high flash point solvent.
  • Page 26 HONDA MBX50,MBX80 INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT Wash the element in non-flammable or high flash point solvent and allow to dry. NOTE D o not wash the element in gasoline or vege­ table oil. Soak the element in clean engine oil or gear oil (SAE 80-90) and squeeze out any excess.

    HONDA MBX50·MBX80 CLUTCH/KICKSTARTER/GEARSHIFT LINKAGE SERVICE INFORMATION GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS a All clutch and kickstarter maintenance and inspections can be accomplished with the engine installed. e Make balancer timing adjustment when the clutch outer and primary drive gear are removed. e Use the UNIVERSAL HOLDER to remove and install the primary drive gear.
