Enabling Proxy ARP

By default, the Device uses proxy ARP to help hosts learn MAC addresses of hosts on other networks or
subnets.

Configuring IP Unicast Routing
Purpose
Enters the global configuration mode.
Enters interface configuration mode, and specifies
the Layer 3 interface to configure.
Specifies the ARP encapsulation method:
• arpa—Address Resolution Protocol
• snap—Subnetwork Address Protocol
Returns to privileged EXEC mode.
Verifies ARP encapsulation configuration on all
interfaces or the specified interface.
(Optional) Saves your entries in the configuration
file.
