To configure BFD on all IS-IS interfaces that support IPv4 routing, perform the steps in this section.

How to Configure Bidirectional Forwarding Detection
Purpose
Enables privileged EXEC mode.
• Enter your password if prompted.
Enters global configuration mode.
Specifies an IS-IS process and enters router
configuration mode.
Enables BFD globally on all interfaces associated with
the IS-IS routing process.
(Optional) Returns the router to global configuration
mode.
(Optional) Enters interface configuration mode.
(Optional) Enables support for IPv4 routing on the
interface.
