Graphical symbols, safety signs and product
safety labels
The following graphical symbols, safety signs and product safety labels may be used
on the PostBase mailing system for example, depending on the respective version.
You will find the product safety labels on the type plates of the individual products.
The following overview lists and explains them.
Warning: automatic start-up!
GS Mark. "Geprüfte Sicherheit" (Tested safety) according to the require-
ments of the German Product Safety Act (ProdSG).
Tested by the accredited laboratory Nemko.
CE label.
With this label, the manufacturer declares that the product meets the
requirements of all relevant EU directives that require such labelling.
The corresponding EU Declaration of conformity of the manufacturer for
the PostBase One system is printed on page 53.
Nemko certification mark
The approval mark indicates that the product complies with the applicable
standards as required in the USA and Canada.
The crossed garbage can is a mark for electrical and electronic equip-
ment (WEEE directive) and means the following:
The product may not be disposed of with household waste.
The bar below the garbage can indicates that the product was marketed
after 13 August 2005.
