11.6 Protection

11.6.1 All ancillary equipment connected to the fence circuit shall be designed to
provide a degree of isolation between a fence circuit and the supply mains
equivalent to that specified for the energizer.
11.6.2 Protection from weather shall be
provided for the ancillary equipment
unless the equipment is certified
by the manufacturer as being
suitable for use outdoors, and is of
a type with a minimum degree of
protection IPX4 (protected against
splashing water).
