CMPST button menu (Option BG only)
VITC. Allows inserting the same VITC signal on 1 or 2 lines of the vertical
interval. Use the left (◄) or right (►) arrow button to select the desired VITC
signal: VITC 1 or VITC2.
Select VITC 1 for one line and VITC 2 for the second line. Select the VITC
signal you want to configure, and then press the ENTER button to enter the
VITC submenu for the selected signal. (See page 45, COMPOSITE TIMECODE
VITC submenu.)
COMPOSITE TIMECODE
The following menu opens for the selected Composite output when you press
ENTER in the CMPST TIMECODE submenu with VITC selected. (See Figure 14
VITC submenu
on page 44.)
Use this menu to enable or disable the output of the VITC signal and to select the
video line on which the VITC signal will be inserted.

Output. Use this menu item to enable or disable insertion of a VITC on the
selected line. Use the left (◄) or right (►) arrow button to select Output: Enable
or Output: Disable. Press the ENTER button to confirm the selection.
Line number. Use this menu item to select the video line on which the VITC
signal will be inserted. Use the left (◄) or right (►) arrow button to select the
video line number. The line number range varies by format: you can select from
line 10 to line 20 for NTSC, and from line 6 through line 22 for PAL. Press the
ENTER button to confirm the selection.
