Access Control

The procedures for managing shares depends on the security mode you
are using:
• User-level access control in Windows NT networks
• User-level access control in OS/2 networks
• Share-level access control
To verify the security mode setting, follow these steps:
1. Start your Web browser, and enter the name or IP address of the
StorPoint NAS in the location/address field.
2. Click admin. You will be prompted for the Server password. By
default, this is set to
Password" on page 25.
3. Click Network Settings.
4. Click Detailed View
5. Select the Windows (SMB) tab . If you want to change the Security
Mode parameter, click Change...
6. Click OK.
