Timer
1
PMS Enquiry Time
To set up the PMS for messaging, the
phone system sends an Enquiry
(ENQ) command to the PMS and
waits this interval for an
Acknowledge (ACK) response. If
there is no response, the phone sys-
tem retries for the number of times
you specify in the Retry Count por-
tion of this option. If there is still no
response, the phone system marks the
PMS as Out of Service.
2
PMS Message Time
Each time the phone system sends a
PMS message, it waits this interval for
an Acknowledge (ACK) response from
the PMS. If there is no response, the
phone system retries for the number of
times you specify in the Retry Count
portion of this option. If an ACK is still
not received, the phone system marks
the PMS as Out of Service.
3
PMS "Are You There" Time
If no PMS messages are exchanged
for this interval, the phone system
sends an Areyouthere message to the
PMS. If the PMS does not send an
Acknowledge (ACK) response within
the PMS Message Time, the phone
system retries for the number of times
you specify in the Retry Count por-
tion of this option. If there still is no
response, the phone system marks the
PMS as Out of Service.
