The Basics

To change a numeric parameter

Press a softkey that displays a numeric-entry prompt box (for example [
[
] menu.

Type a value with the optional keyboard.

Turn the knob before the prompt box disappears.

Type a value with the numeric keypad.

If you typed a number, press a unit softkey or [
If you are using an optional keyboard, press the corresponding function key.
When you press a softkey that controls a numeric parameter, the analyzer activates the
key (indicated by highlighting the softkey) and displays a numeric-entry prompt box.
The prompt box is removed after a short time if you do not change the value, but the
softkey remains active. An active softkey is always ready to accept entry from the
arrow keys or numeric keypad, even when the prompt box is not displayed.
The arrow hardkeys and the knob change a numeric parameter by stepping it through
successive values. In some cases, you can specify the size of the step. The knob is
more convenient if you need to step a parameter quickly through many successive
values, but the prompt box must be displayed before you start turning the knob.
Increase a value by
turning the knob
clockwise or pressing the
up-arrow hardkey
Decrease a value by
turning the knob
counter-clockwise or
press the down-arrow
hardkey
[Back Space] backs up
over mistakes
