5.3 Maintaining IPv6 Static Routes

To maintain IPv6 static routes, run the following commands:

Run the show running-config ipv6-static-route command to show the static routes
configured in the system database. The display results indicate the user-configured static
routes but these routes are not necessarily effective.

ipv6 route <prefix>/<mask-len><interface-name
Description
Used to configure static route in a specific VRF. The VRF
name is with 1–32 characters. The management port mng
is a special VRF.
Indicates the IPv6 address prefix.
Indicates the mask length ranging from 0 to 128.
Indicates the next-hop IPv6 address.
Indicates the interface name.
Indicates the administrative distance ranging from 1 to 255.
Enables the
show running-config ipv6-static-route
show ipv6 protocol routing static

Function
Configures a static route with the
specified egress interface. If the
egress interface is a broadcast
interface, the next hop should also
be specified.
Configures a static route with the
specified next hop.
Configures a static route with both
the specified egress interface and
the specified next hop.
BFD
for the route in the IPv6 route configuration.
Function
Shows the static routes configured
in the system database.
Shows the static routes in the
routing table and the validity of
these routes.
