Loading the original

The original can be loaded in the ADF or on the original glass in this machine. If the original is loaded in the
ADF, the original is scanned automatically from the ADF.
Loading the original in the ADF
If the ADF is used, originals with multiple pages can be automatically scanned. In addition, double-sided
originals can also be faxed.

Close the ADF.

Sequentially arrange the original from the first page.

Position the original face-up up in the ADF.
– To record source information correctly, insert the front
edge of the original into the ADF.

Adjust the lateral guides.
– The lateral guides are set to maximum width for mixed
originals, and the original is positioned in line with the inner
side.
Loading the original on the original glass
Using the original glass enables you to send originals that cannot be loaded in the ADF (e.g. thick originals
like books, and thin originals).

Open the ADF.

Position the original face down and load the original pages on
the left inner side so that they are aligend with the left side of
the scale board.

Close the ADF slowly.
