MACHINE ASSEMBLY
– Remove the cup (4) unscrewing the central
screw in a clockwise direction.
– Unthread the outer ring-nut (5) and remove the
blade (1).
• Fitting
– Ensure that the grooves in the inner ring-nut (6)
match up perfectly with the angle transmission
(3).
– Fit the blade (1) and outer ring-nut (5).
– Refit the cup (4), fully tightening it in an anti-
clockwise direction.
– Remove the wrench (2) to restore blade rotation.
• Adjusting the guard
– Remove additional guard (8 - if already fitted),
unhooking hooks clicked into the guard (9).
– Check the guard (9) is fixed to the angle trans-
mission (10) by two screws (11), inserted in
the two outermost holes on the guard (9).
3.2 Cutting line head (Fig. 5)
NOTE
left-hand thread and so must be unscrewed in a
clockwise direction and screwed up anticlockwise.
• Removing
– Insert the wrench supplied (2) into the specific
hole in the angle transmission (3) and rotate the
cutting line head (1) by hand until the wrench en-
ters the inner hole, blocking rotation.
– Remove the cutting line head (1) unscrewing it in
a clockwise direction.
• Fitting
– Ensure that the grooves in the inner ring-nut (4)
match up perfectly with the angle transmission
(3) and reassemble the guard (4a).
– Fit the cutting line head (1) screwing it up in an
anticlockwise direction.
– Remove the wrench (2) to restore shaft rotation.
• Adjusting the guard
– Fit the additional guard (5), inserting the couplers
into the respective seatings in the guard (6) and
pressing until a click is heard.
– Check the guard (6) is fixed to the angle trans-
mission (7) by two screws (8), inserted in the
two innerrmost holes on the guard (6).
The cutting line head has a
line head the additional guard, with line cutting
knife, must always be fitted.
3.3 "8-Spool" nylon head (Fig. 6)
NOTE
has a left-hand thread and so must be unscrewed
clockwise and screwed on anticlockwise.
• Removing
– Insert the rod supplied (12) in the specific hole in
the flange (13) and remove the "8-spool" head
(11) unscrewing it clockwise.
– Insert the wrench supplied (14) in the specific
hole in the angle transmission (15) and rotate the
flange (13) by hand until the wrench enters the
inner hole, blocking rotation.
– Loosen the screw (16) clockwise.
• Fitting
– Ensure that the grooves in the inner ring-nut (17)
match up perfectly with the angle transmission
(15) and reassemble the guard (18).
– Assemble the flange (13), repositioning the
washer (18) and tightening the screw (16) anti-
clockwise.
– Remove the wrench (14) to restore shaft rotation.
– Insert the rod supplied (12) in the specific hole in
the flange (13) and remove the "8-Spool" head
(11) screwing it on anticlockwise.
– Remove the rod (12).
• Adjusting the guard
– Fit the additional guard (5), inserting the couplers
into the respective seatings in the guard (6) and
pressing until a click is heard.
– Check the guard (6) is fixed to the angle trans-
mission (7) by two screws (8), inserted in the
two innerrmost holes on the guard (6).
