5.8 Components Around the Process Unit

5.8.1 Removing the Pre-Transfer Exposure LED

1) Open the front cover.
2) Slide out the pre-transfer charging as-
sembly.
When placing the removed pre-
transfer charging assembly, take
care not to subject the LED to
impact.
3) Remove the three screws [1] from the
bottom of the pre-transfer charging as-
sembly, and detach the LED cover [2].
4) Remove the connector [3], and detach
the pre-transfer exposure LED [4].
