Managing User IDs

You can set whether or not to use the User ID Management.
The User ID Management function enables you to register up to 100 (LASER CLASS
810) / 1000 (LASER CLASS 830i) User IDs.
– When you use User ID Management, you need to regster a user ID wth the admnstrator prvlege to restrct
the access to the <SYSTEM SETTINGS> menu from the operaton panel, or usng the Remote UI. Otherwse, all
users wll be consdered as System Manager, and anyone can access the <SYSTEM SETTINGS> menu from the
operaton panel, or use the Remote UI wthout restrcton. (See Reference Gude > Settngs/Management from

– The User ID and password can be regstered only from the Remote UI. For detals about the User ID
Management, see Reference Gude > Settngs/Management from a PC > Managng the Department/User ID
from a Computer.
– You need to regster the User ID and password before you set ths mode to <ON>.
– One Department ID can be regstered for each User ID.

If the System Manager ID and System Password have been set, enter the System Manager ID and System
Password usng the numerc keys, then press [Log In/Out (ID)].
