Making the battery last longer

How long your battery lasts depends on how you use your device. To view
how much battery power is available, tap
the Battery tab.
To extend the life of your battery:
Set your power settings to turn off the device when not in use. For
instructions, see "Managing power settings" on page 69.
Use the AC charger to plug your device into external power whenever
possible, especially when using a memory card or when using a modem
or other peripherals.
Adjust the backlight settings. For instructions, see "Setting the backlight
delay" on page 69.
Searching for networks consumes a lot of power. When you are out of
range of Wi-Fi networks you should turn Wi-Fi off. For instructions, see
"Managing wireless connections" on page 56.
Turn Bluetooth off when you are not using it. For instructions, see
"Managing wireless connections" on page 56.
Make the device visible to other devices only when you are trying to
establish a Bluetooth partnership. To make the device invisible, tap
Settings > Bluetooth, select the Mode tab, and deselect the Make this
device visible to other devices check box.
Select the Receive all incoming beams setting only while you are trying
to receive beamed files. To set this, tap
Beam.
