Check the cellular signal strength in the status bar at the top of the
device screen. If there are no bars, move to a different location. If you are
indoors, move closer to a window or go outdoors.
Check whether TTY is enabled. If it is, all audio modes are disabled.
Turn the device off, then turn it on again. Press and hold
asked whether you want to turn the device off, tap Yes. Turn the device
on by pressing and releasing
There may be a problem in your service provider's cellular service.
Contact your service provider for more information.

Cannot make or receive satellite calls

Check whether your device is on satellite network. The Network manager
applet on the Home screen indicates the network your device is using.
For more information on switching between satellite and cellular
network, see "Switching to the satellite network" on page 88.
Check whether you are in the area with satellite network coverage. For
more information about network coverage areas, contact your service
provider.
Check the satellite signal strength in the status bar at the top of the
device screen. If there are no bars, move to a different location and point
the device toward a clear view of the southern sky and ensure that there
are no objects blocking the view.
Make sure your hand is not blocking the antenna. Hold the device in your
right hand to your right ear and below the line indicated on the device
back cover.
