8. If your connection type is Bluetooth, perform the following steps on the
computer:
a Click Start > Control Panel > Network Connections.
b Right-click Bluetooth Network Connections, and click View Blue-
tooth Network Devices.
c If the device is listed as a Network Access Point, click Connect. If it is
not listed, click Create a new connection and use the New Connec-
tion wizard to add the device to the list.

Beaming

You can beam files and other information such as contacts, appointments,
and tasks to other devices using Bluetooth.
Files are saved automatically before they are beamed. If a Word docu-

ment or Excel workbook was created on a computer, unsupported content
and formatting may be lost when the files are saved on your device.
If you want your device to detect and receive beams, tap
Connections > Beam, and select the Receive all incoming beams check
box. To conserve battery power, enable this setting only when needed.
To beam a file, follow the instructions below.
1. From an application, select the item you want to beam, such as an
appointment in Calendar, a task in Tasks, a contact card in Contacts, or a
file in File Explorer.
