You can use Excel Mobile quite similarly to the computer version. See
"Unsupported features in Excel Mobile" on page 136.

The newly created workbook is automatically named and added to the Excel
Mobile file list when it is closed. To rename the file, tap the file and then
Menu > File > Rename/Move.
If you have different file types (Excel, PXL workbooks) on your device and
you want to see only one type in the file list, go to Menu > Options, and
select the file type from the Files to display in list view drop-down menu.
The blank workbook template is used by default for new files. If you want to
use another template you can select it from Menu > Options. If you want to
use your own template, you must first save it in the Templates folder. To
locate the folder, tap All folders > More folders > Templates in the file list
screen.

Unsupported features in Excel Mobile

Excel files created on a computer can be opened and edited in Excel Mobile.
Not all features are supported and some formatting and data can be lost
when saving a workbook on your device.
The following list shows how Excel Mobile handles unsupported and
partially supported features:
Alignment: Vertical text appears horizontal.
Borders: Any artistic borders appear as a single line.
