Administering the IPSIs

These steps enable the IPSI circuit packs and allow them to control the port networks.
1. Type change system-parameters ipserver-interface and press Enter.

2. Verify that the Primary Control Subnet Address is correct.
The subnet address must match the most significant 3 octets (the first 3 groups of digits in
the subnet address) of the Server IP address.
An Asterisk (*) to the right of the Subnet Address field means that although a subnet
address is displayed, it is not the correct one; Avaya Communication Manager does not
have the subnet information. After verifying the displayed information, submit this form with
or without changes to update software with the correct subnet information.

If the information displayed in the Subnet Address field is not correct, it must be

changed on the media server. Use the Maintenance Web Interface; under Server
Configuration and Upgrades, click Configure Server to change the media server
configuration. Then return here to perform this step.
3. Set the Switch Identifier: field to the switch ID letter (A through J; A is the default setting).
4. Set the IPSI Control of Port Networks: field to enabled.
5. Press Enter to effect the change.
