Setting Up LDAP Settings

The LDAP server can be registered and authentication settings can be spec-
ified.

Detail
If the LDAP server uses Active Directory, a DNS server linked to Active
Directory must be specified from the image controller. Specify the setting
for the following parameter from the setup screen of the image controller.
[Network Setup]—[Protocol Setup]—[TCP/IP Setup]—[DNS Setup]
For details on displaying the setup screen, refer to "Displaying the Setup
Screen" on page 5-4.

* When [LDAP Function] is set to "ON" on the Enabling LDAP screen, the [Check Connection] key
is displayed only when [Manual Destination Input] is set to "Allow" on the Security Details
screen.

Description
Set the LDAP server name to be registered. Use the key-
board that appears in the touch panel to type in the server
name (up to 32 characters).
Set the maximum number of destinations to display after
searching. To change the value, press the [C] (clear) key,
and then use the keypad to type in the value (between 5
and 1000 destinations).
Set the maximum wait time for the search operation. To
change the value, press the [C] (clear) key, and then use the
keypad to type in the value (between 5 and 300 seconds).
Specify the initial setting of the search conditions when
performing a detailed search. For details on specifying the
setting, refer to "Initial Setting for Search Details" on
page 6-17.
Checks the connection to the LDAP server.
The LDAP server settings can be reset to their factory
default.
When a reset confirmation message appears, touch [Yes].
