Hold Period of the Image Data

If the number of image data files held in the image controller HDD keeps in-
creasing, there is a possibility that the disk becomes full. You can set the
hold period of the image data in the HDD by carrying out the following set-
tings.

Cases in which the image data is held in the HDD.
When using the Save in Mailbox operation with the image controller
The image data is transferred to the HDD and held in the Box created in
the HDD.
When the size of the mail exceeds the upper limit specified by [Maximum
Scan File Size] on the mail function.

To specify the hold period of the image data

Show the setup screen from the image controller operation panel.

Select [Server Setup] and enter the following settings.

[Clear Each Scan Job]
Note
For details on specifying the setting for the maximum file size for scan da-
ta, refer to "E-Mail Transmission Settings" on page 5-5.
If "Manual" is selected, the scan data saved on the hard disk may reduce
the amount of hard disk that can be used if the data is not manually
cleared. Unless the Save in Mailbox operation is to be used with the scan
data never deleted, we recommend selecting the setting where the scan
data is automatically deleted.

Description
Select the hold period. The image data is automatically cleared when
the hold period elapses. If "Manual" is selected, the scan jobs will
need to be cleared manually.
Settings: After 1 day, Manually, After 1week
