Other Network Scanning Settings

Authentication Function
Although related to the network scanning operations, user authentication
and account track settings are not described in this manual. For details on
these items, refer to the corresponding sections in the User's Guide [Copy
Operations] and User's Guide [Network Scanner Operations] included with
the copier.
User Authentication/Account Track and Scan Functions
If user authentication or account track settings have been specified, the Scan
to E-Mail, Scan to FTP, Scan to SMB, and Save in Mailbox operations cannot
be used unless authentication is completed.
Even if authentication is completed, the network scanning operations cannot
be used if "Scan" has been set to "Restrict".
Authentication Method and Fiery Remote Scan Software
If user authentication or account track settings have been specified from the
copier, the following settings must be specified from the copier in order to
use the TWAIN scanning function of Fiery Remote Scan (the software includ-
ed with the image controller).
- In Administrator mode, touch [User Authentication/Account Track], then
[Authentication Method], and then set "Scanner Settings" to "Allow".
