14.1 Mechanical adjustment of the scanner section

14.1.1

Adjustment of the Scanner Motor Belt

This adjustment must be made in the following case:
• The Scanner Motor Assy has been removed.
• The Scanner Drive Cables have been rewound.
1. Remove the IR Rear Cover.
2. Remove 16 screws and the reinforcement frame.

3. Loosen the three screws that secure
the Scanner Motor mounting bracket
[1].
4. With the Scanner drive gear set
screw [2] located on the right-hand
side as shown on the left, slide the
Scanner Motor Assy [3] to the left
and check that it is returned to the
original position by the tension of the
spring [4]. Perform this step three
times.
5. Tighten the three screws [2] to fix the
Scanner Motor Assy into position.
