0103A100 Retransfer film is broken.
Retransfer film is not detected.
0103A800 A writing error has occurred during
magnetic encoder self‐diagnosis.
0103AD00 An error has occurred during
magnetic encoding data writing.
0103AE00 An error has occurred during
magnetic encoding data reading.
0103B000 An incorrect ink ribbon is installed.
0103B100 Ink ribbon is broken.
Ink ribbon is not detected.
0103**** A media error has occurred.

Solution
Repair the ink ribbon as described in
1.
"Mending a Broken Ink Ribbon or
Retransfer Film" on page 90.
Press Reset and then

initialize the printer.
Install the retransfer film correctly. (Refer to
"Loading Retransfer Film" on page 16).
Check the card specifications.
