When images are scanned in the No Film mode, all zeros are
placed in the roll number section of the image header.
When documents are fed in the No Film mode, and printing is
enabled with roll number designated as a print option, a 0 is printed
where the roll number would be.
When documents are fed in No Film mode, and Coin2 port is
enabled, the roll number should not be selected as an output
option, because it is not 0 in this case.
To use the No Scan option, the host system must be set up to send a
DX command to turn scanning Off. Refer to the Integrator's Guide for
more information on the No Scan option.
The topics in this section apply to document filming.
One or two film cassettes are loaded with film and inserted into the
scanner/microimager when filming documents.
The following illustrations and descriptions help you locate and
become familiar with the film cassette components and displays:
Top
cover
Battery
compartment
Battery compartment — contains a 9-volt battery.
Cover latch — locks or unlocks the top cover. To remove the top
cover, press in and turn the cover latch counterclockwise.
Locked symbol — illustrates the locked position of the cover latch.
Top cover — provides a light-tight seal to prevent fogging/exposure of
film.
Unlocked symbol — illustrates the unlocked position of the cover latch
(as shown).
