Sweeping Using
Start and Span
Frequencies
HP IBASIC (SMPLSWP2)
Chapter 4
The following program specifies a start frequency and a frequency span to
continuously sweep from 1 kHz to 21 kHz. The program also queries the
start frequency, stop frequency, center frequency, and frequency span to
show the relationship between them. Using the flowchart as a guide, the
steps of this program are:
1. Select the Frequency Sweep Mode -
[SOURce:]FREQuency:MODE SWEep
2. Set the Start Frequency -
[SOURce:]FREQuency:STARt <
3. Set the Frequency Span -
[SOURce:]FREQuency:SPAN <
4. Set the Output Function -
[SOURce:]FUNCtion[:SHAPe] <
5. Set the Signal Amplitude -
[SOURce:]VOLTage[:LEVel][:IMMediate][:AMPLitude] <
6. Place the AFG in the Wait-for-arm State -
