Auto light control

Light switch to AUTO : Exterior lamps come
on a utoma tica lly when the engine is
running and if outside light conditions
warrant it.
For reasons of safety, the light sw itc h
should alway s remain in the AUTO
position.
Lightin g
If necessa ry, auto light control can be
switched off; turn the lig ht switch to
position X and release. Light switch returns
to AUTO position and the driver
inform ation centre shows "AUTO LIGH TS
O FF" b riefly.
Turn light switch to p osition X again and
release to switch auto light c ontrol ba ck on.
Light sw itch returns to AUTO position and
the driver information centre shows " AUTO
LIGHTS ON " briefly.
Auto light control w ill switch on
automatically when the ignition is switched
off and ba ck on again.
Depending on outside lig ht conditions, the
hea dlamps illuminate for app rox .
20 seconds when the k ey is removed from
the ignition switch.

Welcome lig ht function
Exterior lamp s illuminate for approx.
20 seconds or until a d oor is opened when
the vehicle is unlocked with the remote
control. See page 67.
