Tec hnic al data
Weights, payload and roof load
The p ayload is the difference between
the p ermitted gross vehicle w eight
(see vehicle identification data, p age 173)
and the EC kerb weig ht.
To calculate the kerb weight, enter the
data for y our vehicle below:

The total
is the EC k erb w eight.
O ptional equipment and accessories
increase the kerb weight, which means
that the p ayload will also change slig htly.
Note the weights given in the vehicle
documents.
The c om bined total of front and rear
axle loads m ust not ex ceed the permissible
gross v ehicle weight. For example, if the
front axle is b earing its max im um
permissible loa d, the rear ax le c an only
bear a load that is equal to the gross
vehic le weight minus the front a xle load .
For permitted axle loads, see vehicle
identification data and v ehicle d oc um ents.
Roof load
Roof loads are not permissible.
