Troubleshooting

If y our Infotainment system does not
func tion as you would expect, plea se read
these Operating Instructions ca refully and
go throug h the following checklist before
contacting Custom er S ervices.
If y ou c annot find a solution to the
problem , we rec om mend that you consult
an O pel Servic e Partner.
Error mes sa ge / s ympto m
Gene ra l
Display is dark.
Display is difficult to read.
Infotainment system cannot
be switched on either with the
X e knob or with the ignition key.
Incorrect time on the disp lay
Audio
Aud io playback volume consta ntly
decreases and cannot be adjusted .
Stored sta tion cannot be selected

Stored sta tion not stored with
station name.
"CHECK DISC" appears on the
disp lay.
"Ca libration Error" ap pears on the
disp lay
"Locked" app ears on the display.
An ejected CD that ha s not been
accepted is retracted again by the
unit when the ignition/unit is
switched off.
Info tainment system
Pos sible ca use / rem edy
Vehicle's ba ttery is weak (if operated without the eng ine running );
See page 159.
Instrument illumina tion is set incorrectly; See page 76.
Infotainment system fuse or vehicle fusebox is defective.
Set time as specified on page 82.
Infotainment system is overheating. Internal temperature regulator is
acting to protect the Infotainment system.
Recommend ation: sw itch the Infotainment system off.
No reception for station currently.
Broa dcasting organisa tion occasionally sends add itional information.
Try to store it a gain when the station name appears on the disp lay.
Poor reception when storing (frequency is displayed).
Broa dcasting organisa tion is not transmitting RDS information
(frequency is disp layed ).
After loading a CD:
CD incorrectly inserted. CD la bel may be caught in the p layer.
Incompatible a udio CD inserted (DVD etc.).
CD scratched or otherwise da maged.
Insert an unda maged, compatible CD with the printed side upwa rds.
During CD playback:
Temperature of Infotainment system too high.
Wait until the temperature of the unit has returned to normal.
Air is too humid. Wait for conditions to improve.
Road surface is uneven. When road surface becomes smoother, CD
should p lay aga in.
Infotainment system has not been calibrated correctly. Return vehicle to
your retailer for service.
Electronic theft-deterrent feature ha s locked up the Infotainment
system. Return vehicle to your retailer for service.
No error.
Remove the CD before switching off the ignition/ Infotainment system.
