Fitting new tyres
Please fit tyres in pairs. Sets would be even
better. Replace tyres w ith:
z the same size,
z the same design,
z the same make,
z the same tread pattern on one ax le.
Fit direc tional tyres such that they roll in the
direc tion of travel. The rolling d irection is
indicated by a symbol (e.g. a n arrow) on
the sidewall.
Tyres fitted opposing the rolling direction
(e. g. when a tyre is chang ed) should be
refitted a s soon as possible. This is the only
way to obtain full benefit from the design
properties of the tyre.
O bserve legal requirements w hen
disposing of ty res.
Some brands of tyres have a b eaded
edge for alloy wheels to protect against
damage. If a wheel trim is used on steel
wheels with beaded-edg e ty res, the
following procedure must be followed:
z Wheel trims and ty res that are a pproved
for the respective vehicle and c om ply
with all of the relevant wheel and tyre
combination requirements must b e used.
z If the wheel trims and ty res used are not
approved, the tyres must not have a
beaded ed ge.
