Volume distribution between the front and

Code in an MP3 file whic h can include the
follow ing data:
Tra ck title,
Artist name,
Tra ck number and playing tim e,
Alb um name.
This information can be stored in the MP3
file w ith a PC.

CD audio da ta compression method
developed by the Fra unhofer Institute.
Compression allow s reduction of the data
to a small percentage of the original
volum e w ithout audible losses in sound
quality .
If low bit rates are used to conv ert the
audio data into MP3, smaller files are
possible but sound quality is reduced.

To play MP3 files on a disc in order by artist
or by alb um .
Random m ode
CD/M P3 track s on a single CD or from
multip le CDs in the six-disc C D player 3 are
played in a random ord er.
RDS (Ra dio Data System)
RDS is a service provided by the radio
broadca sters which m akes it m uch easier
to find an FM station and helps to ensure
reception is free of interference.
RDS stations are identified by the name of
the station on the d isplay instead of the
freq uency.
RDS stations transmit information which is
automatically eva luated by the RDS radio
if RDS is activated .
Sp eed C ompensated Volume (SCV)
To compensa te for ambient and rolling
noise, the Infotainment sy stem v olume
adjusts to the speed of the v ehicle.
Seek a nd scan
S earch and brief playba ck of sta tions with
a strong signa l via the seek buttons.
Treble
High-freq uency sounds.
