Im portant informat ion on operation and
road sa fet y
Use y our Infotainment sy stem in such a
way that you can alwa ys drive safely.
If y ou hav e any doubts, stop the vehic le
and operate the Infotainment sy stem while
the v ehicle is not m ov ing.
Theft protecti on
The I nfotainment system is equipped with
an electronic theft-deterrent feature which
works by learning part of the Vehic le
Identification Num ber (VIN).
The Infotainment system only w ork s in your
vehic le and is therefore of no value to
thieves.
Retained Ac cessory Pow er (RAP)
This feature allows the Infotainment
system to be play ed even after the ignition
is turned off.
Display
The following information can be shown on
the c entral display p anel:
Radio inform ation,
Tim e,
Date,
Sound setting s,
CD/M P3 information.
Operation
Swit ching on/off
X
Press the
e knob .
The Infotainment sy stem switches
on/off.
Informat ion displa yed
The illumina ted display shows informa tion
for the rad io, the CD/MP3 pla yer, tim e and
the sound settings.
When the Infotainm ent system is switched
on, the display illuminates and the most
recently selected aud io sourc e play s at the
previous volume setting.
Volum e
X
Turn the
e k nob;
clockw ise to increase the volume or
anticlockwise to decrease the volum e.
When it is switched on, the
Infotainment system play s at the most
recently set volum e.
The radio volume can be adjusted
automatically to c om pensate for road
and w ind noise, depending on vehicle
speed. See "Sp eed Comp ensa ted
Volum e (SC V)" on p age 86 for further
inform ation.
Info tainment system
St eering wheel rem ote control
The following steering wheel controls are
supplied for y our convenience and to
improve road safety :

Volum e control
Press the plus or minus button to increa se
or decrease the v olum e of the audio source
currently selected.

Mute/unmute sound
Press the button to mute the sound.
Press again to turn the sound back on.

S earch buttons
Radio:
Press to search for next/previous
station memory.
Press a nd hold for approx. 1 sec ond
to advance to nex t/previous station
with a strong signal in the selected
waveband.
CD:
Press to skip to next/previous track.
Press a nd hold for approx. 1 sec ond
to continue sk ip ping forwa rds or
backwa rd s to other tracks on the disc.
