Inspection system

In ord er to guarantee economical and sa fe
vehic le operation a nd to maintain the
value of your vehicle, it is of vital
importance tha t all maintenance work is
carried out at the p roper intervals as
specified by Opel (see chapter " Serv ic e,
Maintenance" on page 165). Tim e or
mileage/kilometre intervals - w hichever is
rea ched first - determine w hen y our vehicle
is due for its nex t Serv ice.
Hav e the Serv ice w ork that is due carried
out within one w eek or 500 km (300 miles).
Hav e this work carried out by a repairer in
accordance with Opel's recommend ations,
using O pel genuine parts a nd accessories.
CHANGE OIL SOON
The engine oil life m onitor lets y ou k now
when to change the eng ine oil. Based on
driving conditions, the time or kilom etre/
mileage interva l at which an eng ine oil
cha ng e will b e indicated can v ary
considera bly.
For the system to work properly, it must be
reset every time the engine oil is changed.
Seek the assistance of a workshop.
When the system has calc ulated that
engine oil life has been diminished,
"CHAN GE OI L SO ON" ap pears in the driver
information centre - see page 69. Engine
power m ay be decreased. C hange eng ine
oil immed iately.

Hav e maintena nce work, as well as repairs
to the bodywork a nd equipment, carried
out b y a p rofessiona l. We recommend y our
O pel Servic e Partner, who is fam ilia r with
O pel vehicles and in possession of the
nec essary sp ecial tools and the latest
service instructions from Opel. It is
particularly a dvisable to use an Opel
S ervice Partner during the warranty period,
to av oid inv alidation of warranty claims.
