Directive 80/1268/EEC (last c hanged
by 2004/3/EG) has ap plied for the
measurement of fuel consumption
since 1996.
The d irective is oriented to a ctual driving
practices: Urban driving is ra ted at ap prox .

/ and off-road driving with approx .

(urban and extra-urban consumption).
Cold starts and acc eleration phases
are also ta ken into consideration.
The specific ation of C O emission is

also a constituent of the directiv e.
The figures giv en must not be taken a s a
guarantee for the actua l fuel consumption
of a pa rticular v ehicle.
All values are based on the EU base model
with stand ard equipm ent.
The c alcula tion of fuel c onsumption as
specified by directive 2004/3/EG takes
account of the v ehicle' s k erb weight,
ascertained in accordance with these
reg ulations. Op tional extras may result in
slig htly higher fuel consum ption and CO
emission levels than those q uoted.
To convert l/100 km into mpg, divide 282
by num ber of litres/100 km.
