Warning
When the traction control aspect of ESP is
switched off, it is possible to lose traction.
Do not a ttempt to shift gears while the
rear wheels are spinning, to prevent
damage to the transmission. Failure to
follow these instructions can c ause
injuries or put lives at risk .

Competitiv e mode allows the driver to have
full control of the rear wheels while ESP
continues to assist in maintaining the
driving sta bility of the v ehicle by brak ing
the front wheels as necessary .
To activ ate:
Press button R twice within 5 seconds.
Control indica tor v illuminates in the
instrument panel. The trac tion control
aspect of ESP is dea ctivated for high
performance driving.
The driver informa tion centre show s
"C OMPETI TI VE MO DE". See pa ge 69.

Briefly press button R again or switch off
the ignition.
