To allow the lug gage compartment lid to
close correc tly , ensure the soft top is
properly stowed by apply ing a firm, even
push in the centre of the soft top.
To close the lug gage compartment lid ,
stand behind the vehicle and, with two
hands laid flat on the surface of the lid,
close the lid with a swift, firm m otion.

Warning
Do not turn on rear w indow heating when
the soft top has been stowed in the
lugga ge c om partment.
Raising soft top
Only w ith v ehicle stationary.
With vehicle p arked on a lev el surfa ce,
engage first or reverse gea r, switc h off
ignition, ap ply hand brak e a nd open the
wind ow s.
Open the luggage comp artm ent -
see p age 26.
From the sid e of the vehicle, pull the
soft top upwards and forwards, towa rd s
the windscreen fram e.
Loc ks, do ors, windo ws
Fully raise the soft top ensuring the
alignment pins locate correctly in both
sides of the w indscreen fram e and on each
side of the body adjacent to the seat
bac krests.
