With VPNs established, when a number string is recognized, the
telephone call is dialled using the VPN account number,
re-routing designated calls through different carriers.
11-12
Number
(Blank)
A valid telephone recognition string
The search string Nautica Wizard will associate with a
particular VPN
This is the number dialled that needs to be associated
with a particular VPN. For example, from Europe you
may want all calls to the USA to go through a specific
carrier. In this case the number entered here would be
001 (calls to the USA from Europe start with 001).
It may also be prudent to route national calls through
another carrier. In the UK, for example, national calls
begin with 01, so this would be the number entered in
this field.
VPN
(Blank)
A valid VPN account number
The VPN account number to be dialled when the number
string is matched
Into this field you enter the account code for the VPN to
be used against the number entered in the Number field.
For example, the account code for the cable operator you
want to attach to national calls may be 132. In this case
the VPN would read:
01/132
All national calls (01 in the UK) will be prefixed with
132 (the access number with the carrier.
