If you intend to use Password Authentication Protocol (PAP)
along this path, then you need to set the PAP options for extra
security.

Profile
Either
Either, PAP, CHAP, BWPAP, BWCHAP, BWEither,
Custom
Select from one of the standard profiles, or a profile you
have designed yourself (Custom) in the PPP section of
Nautica Wizard. (Chapter 10)
The values for this parameter are:
Either: Either incoming PAP or CHAP is accepted
on this port.
PAP: Only incoming PAP is accepted.
CHAP: Only incoming CHAP is accepted.
BWPAP: Incoming and outgoing PAP are accepted.
BWCHAP: Incoming and outgoing CHAP is
accepted.
BWEither: Both incoming and outgoing PAP and
CHAP are accepted.
Custom: A pre-designed PPP profile.
For information on designing a custom PPP profile, refer
to Chapter 10.
